Terms of Service

Charactorium is a game about history and culture: you answer quiz questions, revive and collect historical and mythological figures, and progress through the game. The App is provided for entertainment and cultural discovery.

You can play as a guest (no account) or link an account — via Pi Network or Google — to keep your progress across all your devices. You are responsible for keeping your access secure. One person, one account.

The App contains in-game virtual currencies and items — including Stars, Lueur, and Sagesse — and collectible figures and cosmetics. You acknowledge that:

• These virtual currencies and items have no real-world monetary value and are not legal tender or a cryptocurrency.
• They are non-transferable between accounts and cannot be exchanged for real money or Pi outside the App’s own mechanics.
• Purchases of virtual items are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by the applicable Pi Network policy or by law.
• We may adjust, expire, or discontinue virtual currencies and items as part of normal game operation.

Paid purchases are processed exclusively through the Pi Network (mainnet). We do not accept any other payment method. Pi payments are subject to the Pi Network’s own terms and policies in addition to these Terms.

You agree not to:

• cheat, use unauthorised automation, or exploit bugs to gain currencies, items, ranking, or any unfair advantage;
• tamper with, reverse-engineer, or attack the App or its servers;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose.

Breaching these rules may lead to suspension or termination of your account and forfeiture of virtual items, at our reasonable discretion.

The Charactorium name, game design, texts, curation, artwork, and software are the property of Zwyk Studio or its licensors, and are protected by intellectual property law. Historical and cultural facts are not owned by anyone; our particular selection, writing, and presentation of them are. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your own entertainment.

The App is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or error, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
