The OMD (One Meal a Day) Plate
The meal structure that James Cameron and his wife Suzy Amis Cameron advocate: an entirely plant-based plate organized not as starter-main-dessert, but as visual portions — a large half of colorful vegetables, a quarter of whole grains, a quarter of legumes or plant proteins, all drizzled with a homemade sauce. Add a green drink and an energy-dense snack. The idea: replace at least one animal-based meal per day with a plant-based plate, out of ecological and health conviction.
Signature : Kumara and legumes from the garden
On his organic farm in New Zealand, Cameron grows his own vegetables. Kumara (sweet potato, an iconic New Zealand ingredient) and legumes (lentils, peas, beans) form the backbone of his vegan cooking: sweet-earthy, satiating, zero animal products.
