Campfire Meal (the Nomadic Meal of the Exodus)
Among the Hebrews marching through the wilderness, there is no starter, main course, or dessert: they eat around the fire, under the tent, what the day has given. Bread is the heart of the meal—they dip it, they wrap it. The rhythm follows providence (manna in the morning, quail in the evening, fruits of the oasis) and the halt. On the night of Passover, uniquely, they eat standing, ready to leave, with loins girded and staff in hand.
Signature : Unleavened Bread (Matzah)
The iconic technique of Moses and the Exodus: bake the dough BEFORE it ferments. Born from the hasty flight out of Egypt, where there was no time to let the bread rise, it becomes the foundational gesture of the whole Hebrew desert meal—humble, quick, portable.
