Whitney Houston recorded 'I Will Always Love You' in a single vocal take for the 1992 film The Bodyguard. Producer David Foster had originally planned a more restrained version, but Whitney convinced the team to let her voice loose at full power. At just 19 years old, Whitney Houston signed a contract with Arista Records after being discovered by legendary producer Clive Davis at a New York jazz club in 1983.
