Anecdotes

At age 7, Beyoncé entered a school singing competition in Houston and performed a John Lennon song. She won first place, stunning the audience and her teachers alike. This moment marked the beginning of her passion for performing.

In 1990, Beyoncé joined the group Girl's Tyme alongside her future partner Kelly Rowland. The group auditioned for the TV show Star Search in 1993 but was eliminated. Far from discouraging her, this setback forged the determination that would eventually take Beyoncé to the top.

At the 2010 Grammy Awards, Beyoncé won six awards in a single evening, setting a record for a female artist. That night, she became the woman who had received the most Grammys in a single ceremony in the history of the music awards.
